Culture for Education
Pontifical Foundation Gravissimum Educationis
The Foundation, established by papal law, was created by Pope Francis in 2015 and reflects the Church's commitment to culture and education.
With a global perspective, it implements and supports significant projects alongside Catholic schools and universities, investing in the languages of culture for a Christian-inspired education.
The Foundation operates as an instrumental body of the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See. It is governed by a Board of Directors chaired by Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, with Monsignor Davide Milani serving as the Secretary General.
