Suzana Sousa (Luanda, 1981) é curadora independente, produtora, gestora cultural e investigadora angolana. Desenvolve trabalho em produção e curadoria em Luanda desde 2003, tendo sido Diretora do Gabinete de Intercâmbio do Ministério da Cultura de Angola. Ao longo do seu percurso, tem colaborado com diversas instituições nacionais e internacionais, com projetos no Museu Judaico de Nova Iorque, no Museu de História Natural de Luanda, no Museu Coleção Berardo e na Galeria Municipal do Porto, entre outras. Em 2012 cofundou o Coletivo Cultural Pés Descalços, do qual faz parte, e foi co-curadora da III Trienal de Luanda (2013). É licenciada em Estudos Artísticos pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa e frequentou o mestrado em Culturas Pós-Coloniais e Políticas Globais na Goldsmiths, University of London, sendo doutoranda em Antropologia no ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, com investigação centrada nas políticas e contextos de construção da arte em Angola.

Suzana Sousa (Luanda, 1981) is an Angolan independent curator, producer, cultural manager, and researcher. She has been working in arts production and curatorial practice in Luanda since 2003 and previously served as Director of the Exchange Office at the Ministry of Culture of Angola. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous national and international institutions, developing projects with the Jewish Museum in New York, the Museum of Natural History of Luanda, the Museu Coleção Berardo, and the Porto Municipal Gallery, among others. In 2012, she co-founded the Pés Descalços Cultural Collective, of which she remains a member, and served as co-curator of the 3rd Luanda Triennial (2013). She holds a degree in Artistic Studies from the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon, and attended the MA programme in Postcolonial Cultures and Global Policy at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is currently a PhD candidate in Anthropology at ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, where her research focuses on the policies and contexts shaping the production of art in Angola.
