On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, together with the Spanish-speaking officials, Msgr. Roberth Hernandez and Fr. Benjamín Aguirre, received a cordial visit from the Vice President of Ecuador, María José Pinto.

The meeting provided an opportunity to express a willingness to further strengthen the good relations between the Holy See and Ecuador.
