CADU (San Paolo, 1977) – artista, curatore e docente.

Docente presso il dipartimento di Artes e Design della PUC-Rio, dove coordina il LINDA: Laboratório Interdisciplinar em Natureza, Design & Arte. Insegna presso l’EAV - Parque Lage, è direttore del Museo Universitario Solar Grandjean de Montigny e direttore artistico di CASA BRASIL, dove fa parte della commissione curatoriale e pedagogica.

Ha partecipato a numerose mostre nazionali e internazionali, tra cui, in particolare, 7^a Bienal do Mercosul (2007), 30^a Bienal de São Paulo (2012), 13^a Bienal de Istambul (2013), 4^a Bienal do Fim do Mundo (2014) e da "Anozero19" Bienal de Arte Contemporânea de Coimbra (2019).

Nel 2013 è stato insignito del Premio PIPA e ha ottenuto una residenza artistica presso Residency Unlimited (2014, NY). Dal 2015 al 2017 è stato artista in residenza presso la Fundação InSite (Messico) e la Plataforma Atacama (Cile). Vincitore del Premio Radio Krakow 2015 (Polonia) per la mostra “Its Gonna Rain”. Nel 2017 è stato incaricato dal National Endowment for the Arts, dalla Robert Wood Johnson Foundation e da XLab IDEAS per un progetto a Natchez (Mississippi, USA), e ha partecipato alla 32ª e alla 35ª edizione di Panorama da Arte Brasileira. Nel 2018 è stato incaricato dalla Fundação Haundenschild (San Diego, USA) di sviluppare un progetto presso la sua sede. Nel 2019 ha completato un programma di residenza presso il Dipartimento comunale dell’Istruzione di Rio de Janeiro su invito dell’Istituto República.

Attualmente sviluppa progetti con il Museu Bispo do Rosário e il Museu das Imagens do Inconsciente, entrambi a Rio de Janeiro. È rappresentato dalla Galleria Vermelho (SP) e da Silvia Cintra (RJ).

Lecturer in the Department of Artes e Design at PUC-Rio, where he coordinates LINDA: Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Nature, Design & Art. He teaches at EAV – Parque Lage, is director of the Solar Grandjean de Montigny University Museum and artistic director of CASA BRASIL, serving on the institution’s curatorial and educational committees.
